I did ask about using the split sample and they said I'd probably have to pay $300+ out of pocket for that, and I'd most likely have the same issue so that idea is is pretty much out the window. They didn't actually accuse me of substituting my sample, just that they would not test the sample that I gave them. Can't wait to be done with this so I can live my normal life again. I've heard of a couple stories here and there of QF not coming through but the fact that the donation was by the book and more importantly the antibiotics thing has me stumped. Thinking of calling back tomorrow for more specifics and maybe "remembering" something, but besides that I'm short on options outside of a retest which runs into the Adderall issue, besides the fact that DOT tests are apparently more sensitive than the take home tests I've been able to find. I'm drawing a blank on what antibiotics could possibly have to do with anything. But could they put me on a confirmatory test because of this garbage? I'd have to wait until next week and at this point training classes for the position will be starting soon. By my calculations and based on the DOT website linked below, given that I took a 15mg instant at 1:30pm Tuesday it should be below the initial test level by 11:30am on Friday.
As it happens I took an Adderall to get some cleaning done not even an hour before they called me. Is it possible they profiled me somehow? I know these businesses feel obligated to prove their usefulness, is it possible I'm just completely fucked based on that? (should mention the test from my old job went to a Utah address while this one went to Jacksonville FL) The lab they sent it to was CRL, which was coincidentally the lab that handled the drug test at my last job that I failed a random. I'm kind of at a loss here, and the only thing I can think to do is roll the dice on a 24 hour detox if they even let me retest (they hired me off my job history alone so I'm optimistic they will but I'm also not exactly feeling lucky after this) So now if my employer chooses to re test me I may be observed. Got a call earlier today from the lab (5/8) saying they couldn't test my specimen, I was caught completely off guard and didn't catch the exact reason why except that they put a doctor on the line for about one second to ask if I'm taking any antibiotics (?). Never did, but I knew they might take longer cause they're hiring a ton of positions right now so I didn't worry about it. He said I should hear from my job in about 48 hours. Made small talk with the tester before and after, going by his demeanor and fact that he checked off all the right boxes on the sheet everything seemed fine. Got kinda nervous as it was dead quiet and the test collector was in the next room (we were the only people in the office and I had to move very slowly to not make the wrong noise) so I didn't get to add a bit of my own seasoning like I wanted to. So far so good, temp was good at the test and had just enough. Got it from a local trusted store, in the wrapper, confirmed batch 6.2 via website. Hadn't smoked since 4/11 and I have a fast metabolism but I didn't want to chance it so I bought QF the day of. My position isn't actually under DOT regs but all the other ones in my department are). As luck would have it I found a higher paying job with better status before my termination was even finalized, so I was feeling pretty good about myself.Īnyways, I went in for a preemployment drug test on 4/30 (Per the sheet, a DOT 5 panel. Recently got fired from my old job (a drug test was involved but wasn't brought up at my termination hearing, my theory is that it was because they broke their own policies in doing so but thats neither here nor there). Not really sure what to do, so I figure I make an account here to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
